One person was hurt after a light tower caught fire at the intersection of West Cameron Street and Kane Road at about 9:30 Sunday morning.

According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office, a worker was attempting to move a portable light tower when it came into contact with an overhead power line. The light tower caught fire, and eventually spread to the worker's truck which was parked nearby.

Crews disconnected the electricity, and the Township Fire Department was able to put out the fire. The power has since been restored to the area.

The worker was taken to Mayo Hospital with unknown injuries.

Officials say the incident shut down Kane Road and West Cameron Street for about 2 hours.
