Five
people were killed and 10 others injured when a truck hauling onions flipped
over on a highway in the northern Mexican state of Zacatecas, officials said
Thursday.
The
accident happened on Wednesday afternoon in the city of Loreto, where the truck
flipped over when it hit the side of the Matias Ramos Santos education school.
"The
truck's occupants are the fatalities, and there were 10 others injured,"
Zacatecas emergency management office spokesman Alberto Torres told Efe.
Some of
the people hurt in the accident have serious injuries and are being treated at
area hospitals.
The
accident was apparently caused by brake failure.
