Over-sized truck hits and damages 290 HOV lane

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There's a big traffic alert for those of you on the northwest side. The Highway 290 HOV lane shut down after a truck accident.
According to TxDOT, an over-sized struck the HOV lane connecting 290 eastbound to the 610 North Loop.
TxDOT has engineers on the way to assess the damage. The HOV lane is expected to be closed for quite some time.
