Interstate 70 in Indiana Experienced a Few Slow Downs on February 26, 2015 due to Slick Road Conditions

FEBRUARY 26, 2015

Putnamville—This morning, Indiana State Police Troopers from the Putnamville Post responded to three property damage crashes and four slide-offs related to the slick road condition of Interstate 70. The calls for service were in Vigo and Clay counties and peaked around 8:30a.m. No injuries were reported and I-70 was not closed at any time; however, a few slowdowns were in effect.
As an example of this morning’s events, the attached photo depicts two separate crashes involving commercial vehicles in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the 15 mile marker (Vigo County). The crashes were investigated by ISP Master Troopers Todd Miles and Jason Schoffstall.

At this time, crash cleanup at the 15mm is nearly complete. Both lanes of eastbound I-70 remain open.
