PHOENIX, ARIZONA
A man was trapped under a cement truck after a wreck in the
southwest Valley on Friday morning and was taken to a hospital in extremely
critical condition, according to a Phoenix fire department spokesman.
The wreck occurred about 9:30 a.m. Friday near 75th Avenue
and Lower Buckeye Road when a cement truck collided with another vehicle, said
Capt. Benjamin Santillan, a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman.
Paramedics and firefighters who arrived at the crash site
said an adult man was trapped under the cement truck, Santillan said.
The man was removed from the truck and taken to a trauma
center in critical condition, he said.
Phoenix police were investigating the cause of the wreck,
Santillan said.
