KILLED, MAN CRITICALLY HURT IN TRUCK WRECK NEAR TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA

TAHLEQUAH — A 74-year-old Wagoner woman died Friday
after a collision between a pickup and a tractor-trailer in Cherokee County,
the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Gladys Lord was taken to Tahlequah City Hospital, where
she was pronounced dead, troopers said.
She had been a passenger in a Chevrolet S-10 that
collided with a tractor-trailer rig about 11:10 a.m. on U.S. 62 about two miles
west of Tahlequah.
The driver of the pickup, identified as Jack Cochrane,
77, of Wagoner, was critically injured. Troopers said he was taken to Tahlequah
City Hospital, as well, before being transferred to Saint Francis Hospital in
Tulsa.
The truck driver, Sidney Allen, 57, of Tulsa, reportedly
was not injured.
The conditions of both drivers and the cause of the
wreck remained under investigation, troopers said.
Further details about the crash were not available
