U.S. POSTAL TRUCK INVOLVED IN 3-CAR CRASH IN ROCHESTER, NEW YORK. 3 INJURED

A U.S. Postal truck was involved in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday in Rochester.
The accident happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of South Winton Road and Highland Avenue. 

According to Rochester Police, a USPS driver was headed north on S. Winton Rd. and made a left turn onto Highland Ave. While turning left, a black vehicle crashed into the postal truck and an SUV in the intersection. 

It took emergency crews 35 minutes to get the postal worker out of the truck. All three drivers were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. 

The driver of the black vehicle is currently listed in critical condition. The other two drivers have non-life-threatening injuries. The U.S. Postal Service said all of the mail, several hundred pieces, were recovered and is being dried so it can be returned and delivered. Rochester Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
