BRIDGE REOPENS FOLLOWING TRUCK ACCIDENT IN ALLEGHENY COUNTY

Police closed the 62nd Street Bridge for several hours
after a large truck crashed on a barrier early Wednesday morning.
An Allegheny County dispatch supervisor said local
agencies had to call for assistance in removing the truck and cleaning a fuel
spill that resulted from the truck's crash at 1:44 a.m. The supervisor was
unsure what the truck was carrying.
The supervisor said the bridge, which connects Stanton
Heights and Sharpsburg on Route 8, reopened around 9 a.m.

Closed After Semi Carrying Military-Grade Explosives Crashes

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. (KFSM) – Northbound and southbound
lanes of U.S. 271 in Choctaw County, Okla., have been shut down, after a semi
truck hauling military-grade explosives crashed on the highway, according to
the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday, prompting an
explosives team from Fort Still, Okla., to respond to the wreck. They are
inspecting the load to make sure it is stable to be moved, according to the
highway patrol.
The state Department of Transportation is also on scene
and has set up a detour onto Old Grant Highway, according to the highway
patrol.
