LIVERMORE, CALIFPRNIA

Crews battled a two-alarm warehouse in Livermore on Wednesday that tore through the roof, but luckily caused to injuries.

Livermore-Pleasanton Deputy Fire Chief Joe Testa said the fire was reported just before midnight at Miller’s Heating and Air Conditioning at 2127 Research Drive. Crews were able to knock it down about 2 a.m. One firefighter was being treated at the scene, he said, adding that he believed the firefighter was actually ill, and not caused by battling the blaze.

As for how the fire started, Testa said: “It could have started in the dumpsters and spread into the business, or started at the business and spread into the dumpsters.”

Now, investigators will be tasked with whether or not the fire was intentionally or accidentally set. Anytime you “have a fire in an unpopulated area at night it raises the question” of whether it was suspicious, he said.
