FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- An 87-year-old Fort Wayne woman has died and her 88-year-old husband was seriously injured after a rollover ATV crash Tuesday morning.

It was around 9:45 a.m. when emergency personnel were called to the 7300 block of Washington Center Road.

According to DNR officers, an elderly couple took off on the ATV to spray for weeds when they came too close to a ditch, slid down and pinned the woman underneath.

It was not immediately clear when the crash happened, but a farmer found them Tuesday morning.
