Ferry MASACCIO sank after collision, Italy

Hydrofoil passenger ship MASACCIO partially sank after collision with a pier on the Sicicilian island Stromboli in the afternoon June 16. There were 117 passengers and 6 crew on board, all safely disembarked, no injures reported. Accident said to be caused by strong wind gusts, when vessel was maneuvering to dock. Vessel said to be resting on bottom, partially above the water.
