One child was seriously injured in an ATV crash with a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in Cantonment.
The accident happened about 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Nowak Road and Country Road 97 when the ATV and a SUV collided. A female about 12-years old was airlifted by Lifeguard helicopter to a Pensacola hospital with injuries that were not immediately considered life threatening. A male on the ATV was not transported.
No one in the SUV was injured.
The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Further details have not been released.
Escambia County EMS and the Cantonment Station of Escambia Fire Rescue responded to the crash.
