2 PEOPLE IN AN SUV AIRLIFTED TO AREA HOSPITALS AFTER DUMP TRUCK T-BONES THE SUV IN NOBLESVILLE, INDIANA

NOBLESVILLE, INDIANA

Two people were airlifted to area hospitals after a crash involving a dump truck and SUV in Noblesville.

It happened after 11 a.m. Thursday in the area of 156th Street and Boden. The dump truck was going south on Boden and the SUV was going west on 156th when police say the SUV appeared to pull out in front of the dump truck.

The dump truck hit the SUV on the passenger side. Neighbors reported hearing the collision and called 911. The driver of the dump truck was treated and released at the scene.

The driver of the SUV was airlifted to St. Vincent on 86th Street. The passenger in the SUV was airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.

Investigators said the area would remain closed for a few hours as they worked on investigation and clean up.
