Cal Fire and the Madera County Sheriff's Office are on the scene of a deadly boating accident at Miller's Landing on Bass Lake.

The Sheriff's office said a brother and sister were inner-tubing when they fell off. A passing jet ski then hit them. The 13-year-old boy died. His 16-year-old sister was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. She is listed in critical condition with a head injury.

Both of the vessels involved in the crash were rented from the Miller's Landing dock. The owners at Miller's Landing said they have not had a fatal boating accident in over ten years.

The Madera County Sheriff's Office said the jet ski driver was not under the influence, but he is being investigated.
