Weld, Colorado:

Colorado Highway 60 is closed near Milliken on Friday morning after a semi wrecked and spilled liquid cattle feed on the roadway.

The highway will be closed at Two Rivers Parkway, just north of the South Platte River, until about about 11:40 a.m., according Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis. No one was injured in the one-vehicle crash.

“This is not a hazmat situation , but obviously it’s a little bit messy,” Lewis said. The highway will be closed while safety workers clean the cattle feed from the road. The feed spilled after the trailer the semi was hauling ruptured.

CSP received the call about the crash shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. According to the agency’s Twitter feed, the semi tipped onto its left side after traveling too quickly around the corner of Highway 60 where the road turns from eastbound to southbound.

The driver of the vehicle will likely be cited, Lewis said.

Drivers can travel U.S. Highway 85 on the east and Weld County Road 19 to get around the closure, CSP tweeted.
