JINZHAO29 grounding off Xiamen

General cargo vessel JINZHAO29 ran aground on Dadan island northern coast, off Xiamen, China, Taiwan Strait, at around 2000 LT July 6. Vessel reported hull breach in Hold 1 area and water ingress, requesting immediate assistance. Several rescue ships and tugs were sent to assist. 14 crew reportedly were evacuated. Rescuers managed to stabilize and refloat the vessel, on July 7 JINZHAO29 was towed to Xiamen and docked. On a photo troubled JINZHAO29 .
