EASTON, PA — A construction worker fell Wednesday morning from scaffolding beneath a bridge over the Bushkill Creek in Easton.

The worker, whose name has not been released, fell about 15 feet from the scaffolding under the Route 611 bridge over Bushkill Creek. Emergency crews were dispatched about 10:30 a.m. The worker landed on some rocks in the creek bed below the bridge, according to Easton Fire Capt. Henry Henning.

The worker was conscious and talking to emergency workers as he was raised 35 feet from the creek bed to street level using a stokes basket, according to Henning.

The man was taken to an area trauma center.
