Butte County Coroners identified one of the victims of the horrific accident on highway 70 near Gridley Saturday.
25-year-old Dror Seginer, an Israeli national, was killed when the Suburu Forester he was riding in was heading southbound on 70 just south of Middle Honcut Road when the driver began to drift, over corrected, and swerved head-on into traffic, slamming into a dodge ram.
Seginer and the other unidentified passenger died at the scene. The Subaru driver was hospitalized with major injuries. The driver’s condition remains unknown at this time.
Passengers in the pickup were also injured but their condition also remains unknown at this time.
