Howell Township, MICHIGAN

A crash involving a pickup, a Jeep and a boat at the intersection of M-59 and Michigan Avenue near the city of Howell and Howell Township border resulted in no injuries Friday afternoon.

Lt. Jim Lynch of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department said the 3:50 p.m. Friday crash occurred when the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto Michigan Avenue from westbound M-59.

As a result, the driver of a 2015 Jeep Liberty traveling east on M-59 crashed into the passenger side of the pickup, causing it to rollover, Lynch said.

That action caused the Lund outboard-motor boat and trailer the pickup driver was pulling to dislodge from the pickup.

The boat and trailer struck a third vehicle, causing minor damage, Lynch said.

Additional details, including driver information, was not immediately available.
