Fifteen cars of a train operated by the Central Maine & Quebec Railway derailed Monday night in Farnham, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada said Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at 10:24 p.m. on a siding, the TSB said, adding that all the cars were empty. Nobody was injured in the incident. The TSB has dispatched an investigator to the site.
Central Maine & Quebec Railway was formerly the Montreal Maine & Atlantic Railway, which was the operator of the train that crashed and exploded in Lac-Mégantic on July 6, 2013, killing 47 people and destroying much of the city’s historic downtown.
