TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2015

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, MICH. (NEWSCHANNEL 3)

Saint Joseph County deputies say two boats collided this weekend on Lake Templene, ejecting two people.

St. Joseph County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the lake in Sherman Township, near Centreville, at 7:45 p.m. Saturday for a boat crash. Police say 68-year-old Larry Prince, of Coldwater, was operating an 18-foot Javelin bass boat with a 73-year-old passenger.

While making a left turn, the boat struck a 24-foot Tahoe pontoon boat that was turning right. The pontoon was operated by 38-year-old Jwan Reyes, of Indiana.
The collision caused both the driver and passenger of the bass boat to be ejected. The passenger was taken to Sturgis Hospital for medical treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
