One person died after a major crash involving a car and a semi-truck Monday morning on the West Side of San Antonio.

Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman James Keith said a big rig, carrying supplies into the Waterford Park subdivision, crossed the westbound lane of Culebra Road. A motorist heading east slammed into the truck, pinning the car underneath.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. near Talley Road, according to officials.

The eastbound lanes of Culebra have been shut down while crews work to clear the scene.
