Due to the fire on Route 128/Interstate 95 South just prior to Interstate 93 in Stoneham, all lanes of the road were temporarily shut down.
At about 9:25 a.m. the left lane on the southbound side was reopened and the ramp from I-95 South to I-95 North soon after.

Firefighters put out the flames, but traffic was backed up as a result.
State police said traffic was backed up for about five miles as a result of the fire.
All lanes were opened to traffic at about 10 a.m.
