NOBODY, NOWHERE SAFE ON THE DEADLY U.S. ROADS: Cyclist killed by reckless, revoked-license driver between Fuquay-Varina and Lillington in North Carolina

LILLINGTON, NC (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Highway Patrol has charged a driver in the death of a cyclist just north of Lillington in Harnett County Thursday morning.

Troopers said 66-year-old Daryl Dwanyne Webster of Fuquay-Varina was riding on Christian Light Road just north of the Lillington city limits around 8 a.m. when he was hit from behind.

Edward Shane Yarbrough, 39, of Holly Springs, is charged with for misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving while license revoked, and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
