Dredger MACUTI sank after being hit by container ship in the Beira,

Container ship leaving Beira, Mozambique, collided with dredger MACUTI in the morning June 27 in Beira channel, in a foggy weather. MACUTI hull was breached with ensuing water ingress, vessel rested on a sandbank, probably intentionally to avoid sinking. Container ship name wasn’t revealed, but according to available data, it’s MSC CHIARA , which left Beira in the morning June 27 and sialed to Durban, arriving there on June 29. As of morning June 30, vessel was still in Durban.
