Emergency crews respond to hazmat spill of 20 gallons of 50 percent hydrogen peroxide in Olanta, SC

OLANTA, SC (WMBF) – 

The Florence County Emergency Response Team assisted Olanta Fire when they responded to a hazardous materials spill at 432 S. Jones Road in Olanta around 1 p.m. Thursday.  The business locates there is Southern Impressions, LLC.

According to the Florence County Emergency Management/911 Central Dispatch Facebook page, there was a leak of approximately 20 gallons of 50 percent hydrogen peroxide.

There were no injuries and the situation is under control, the Facebook page states.

The Olanta Fire Department, Florence County EMS, the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the Olanta Police Department and the South Carolina Department of Transportation assisted Olanta Fire with the hazmat spill.
