Coroner’s report released on fatal traffic accident where a young girl killed when a GMC Yukon and a Ford minivan collided on Route 82 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania



The identity has not yet been disclosed of an 8-year-old girl who died after a GMC Yukon and a Ford minivan collided on Route 82 at Wagontown Road in Coatesville on the afternoon of Aug. 13. The Chester County Coroner’s office has released a report about the victim who died in a car crash that occurred at 3:48 p.m. Aug. 13 at the intersection of Route 82 and Wagontown Road in Coatesville.

The victim is an 8-year-old white female who was pronounced dead at 4:22 p.m. at Brandywine Hospital, after the car accident; the primary cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time.

The car accident involved a GMC Yukon and a Ford minivan that collided on Route 82 at Wagontown Road, just north of the Coatesville High bridge. The victim, as well as three other people injured in the crash were taken to Brandywine and Paoli hospitals.

Coatesville Fire Department, Washingtown Hose Company ambulance, Westwood Fire Company rescue and ambulance as well as Medic 93 responded to the incident. The Chester County Serious Crash Team was called in to assist with the investigation.
