JUNE 8, 2015

OHIO CO., KY (WFIE)
Two children were killed in a crash on the Western Kentucky Parkway early Monday.
It happened around 1:50 a.m. at mile marker 67 in Ohio County.

Kentucky State Police say 25-year-old Gwendolyn T. Till of Hopkinsville was traveling west on the parkway.

Troopers say for unknown reasons, Till's car crossed the median and entered the eastbound lane of travel.

Police tell us the car caught fire after striking a semi-truck.

Troopers say the semi driver was able to put the fire out with his fire extinguisher.

Till was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital by ambulance.

Kentucky State Police say the two passengers in the car, 3-year-old DeAnthony Till and 5-year-old Arzaria Irvin, both of Hopkinsville, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Ohio County Deputy Coroner.

Troopers tell us neither passenger was wearing a seat belt.
