TSB deploys an investigator to a TransCanada pipeline leak north of Medicine Hat, Alberta

A pipeline leak on the South Saskatchewan River is minor and already shut off, according to sources who spoke with the Medicine Hat News.

The feeder line is located about 50 kilometres north of the city.
A release by the Transportation Safety Board said they are dispatching investigators to an incident on the TransCanada system “north of Medicine Hat.” 
No other information was available. Calls to the federal agency and the company have not yet been returned.

A pipeline leak on the TransCanada pipeline system is not on the line that feeds the City of Medicine Hat, officials with the Municipal Utility Department have told the News.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has deployed an investigator to the site of a TransCanada pipeline leak on the west bank of the South Saskatchewan River, north of Medicine Hat, Alberta. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
