The name of a 23-year-old Superior woman who died in a single-vehicle crash near Alberton on Friday evening has been released to the public.According to the Cremation and Burial Services of the Rockies, Markkaya Jean Gullett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders received a 9-1-1 call about 5:18 p.m. after a tire on the Ford Explorer the woman was driving eastbound near mile marker 66 on Interstate 90 came off the vehicle.
The SUV hit the median, and the vehicle rolled down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
Gullett was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.
The three other passengers in the vehicle, an adult male and two young children, were taken to Community Medical Center, where they were treated and released with minor injuries.
The woman's death marks the 44th vehicle fatality in Montana this year
