TEENAGER DIES IN GENESEE COUNTY CRASH BETWEEN A CAR AND A TRACTOR TRAILER; SEVERAL INJURED. THE CAR DRIVER FAILED TO YIELD AT A STOP SIGN.

BETHANY, N.Y. 

A Pembroke teenager died in a crash that happened just before 2 a.m. on Route 20 near Molasses Hill Road. Genesee County Sheriff's Office deputies said several other people were injured in the accident.

Six people were in a 1997 Geo Prism that collided with a tractor trailer. Deputies say the driver of the car failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit by the truck traveling eastbound on Route 20. Deputies say three of the injured were thrown from the car.

Alyson Krzanak, 18, was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, where she later died.

Gabrielle Uzarowski, 21, of Pembroke, was treated and released at the scene. Felicia Fazzio, 20, of Darien, is in stable condition at ECMC.

Brandon Danser, 21, of Batavia, was taken by Mercy Flight to University of Rochester Medical Center where he is currently in guarded condition.

Jamie Scherer, 21, of Pembroke, was taken to a Wyoming County hospital before being transferred by Mercy Flight to University of Rochester Medical Center. He is in guarded condition.

The driver of the car, Hannah Dibble, 21, of Pembroke, was treated and released from ECMC.

The semi driver, Leonard Odums, of Georgia, was not hurt.

That section of road was closed for a short time while investigators cleaned up the crash site, but it is now reopen.
