DRIVER KILLED WHEN HE CRASHED HIS TRUCK AT A TREE AT HIGH SPEED IN WILLINGBORO, NEW JERSEY

FEBRUARY 28, 2015

WILLINGBORO, N.J. (WPVI)

A driver is dead after a pickup truck slammed into a tree and burst into flames in Willingboro.

It happened at 2:00 a.m. Saturday on Beverly-Rancocas Road near Bridge Street.

There was no immediate word on the driver's identity or what caused that person to lose control of the vehicle.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and Willingboro Police are investigating.

Most likely he was drunk, as it was Saturday 2 am, right after the bars close and he veered off the road and hit the trees.  Drunks cannot stay on a straight line and that section of the 4-lane road is pretty straight.  The other possibility is that the accident could have been caused by a medical condition.
