DURHAM (WTVD) -- A church van was involved in a crash with a tractor trailer Wednesday morning.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. on North Roxboro Street.
Authorities said the semi-truck was turning left from East Trinity Avenue onto North Roxboro Street, when the truck clipped a car and stopped. The Outreach Ministries van did not stop and slammed into the big rig, witnesses said.
The driver of the van was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Durham police said.
No one else was injured.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- A four-vehicle accident Tuesday on Highway 401 resulted in a driver being killed and two suspects fleeing the scene, possibly in a different vehicle than the one they were in when the accident happened.
The driver who died was identified as Janet Jackson, 37, of Stedman.
It happened near East Reeves Bridge Road about 12:21 p.m.
The State Highway Patrol said there was heavy traffic going north and as it slowed, so did Jackson in her 2014 Toyota Camry.
According to troopers, a 1999 Mustang didn't slow and rear-ended Jackson's Camry, forcing it left of center and into the path of a 2002 Volvo truck traveling south. The dump truck slammed into the Camry's passenger side, causing it to flip. Both vehicles ended up in a yard.
The truck driver, Charley Hall Jr., 48, of Fayetteville was not injured.
Jackson was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. She was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Mustang and a female passenger fled the scene on foot, troopers said. They may have then left the area in an older white van.
The Highway Patrol said it has "people of interest" in the case and is actively working to identify and locate the suspects. Investigators said the Mustang was purchased at an auction and did not have legal tags - making it harder to trace the driver.
A fourth vehicle, a 1997 Toyota Corolla driven by Jamie Edwards, 20, of Fayetteville was behind the Mustang and swerved to the right to avoid the collision and wound up hitting a fence.
Edwards sustained undisclosed injuries and was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Charges are pending further investigation.
Jackson's family released the following statement to ABC11:
Her name is Janet Niki Jackson. She was a victim of a senseless act but never a victim of life. Strong, independent, and hard working are the words quickly associated with her. Niki was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a best friend to many because she never met a stranger. Niki loved hard and could be found supporting her kids in any endeavor. The criminals who fled the scene took the glue that held not only this family, but many families together. This self-less woman went without so others could have. Her heart was made of pure gold. A soul that once you met, you would never forget. Her smile would light the darkest of days. Even in pain she continued to smile. She was funny and loved telling corny jokes. Niki was always cooking and kept a table set for anyone and everyone was always welcome. As we grieve the loss of our loved one we pray that those who fled the scene would be moved to do what is right.
The cyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Police are looking for a vehicle that hit a cyclist in east Durham Wednesday morning and didn't stop.
Pictures from the scene showed the man lying on the side of the road at Junction Road and Ross Road being tended to by paramedics. It appeared he suffered broken bones.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m.
Witnesses said the white sedan just sped off.
People who live in the area told ABC11 they hope police find the driver.
"I really hope they find them, and find them quick, and I hope it's prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law because of the way people ride on this road," offered Monique Thomas.
For Thomas, the hit-and-run speaks to a larger issue of safety on Junction Road. She walks with a cane to the bus stop - often times using the edge of the road as her sidewalk.
"It's horrendous. I have walked on this road and people have blown horns at me. They have literally threatened to hit me," she said.
We checked. The city of Durham is working on a new plan and strategy. Currently, out of 235 roads listed on Durham's priority list for sidewalks, the section of Junction Road between Holloway Street and Dodson Street ranks 159.
The city is says it is currently revising that plan to consider areas where pedestrians need sidewalks to go to work, school, catch a bus or visit parks. The city plans to have a strategy developed by March 2017.
Four dead, four injured in three-vehicle accident in Fayetteville
Four are dead and four more injured in a deadly three-vehicle accident.

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Four people were killed and four others injured in a three-vehicle accident in Fayetteville on Wednesday night, said Fayetteville Police Chief Harold Medlock.
"This is the worst crash I have ever seen in my career," Medlock said.
One of the injured is in grave condition, the chief said.

The Fayetteville Police Department said the deadly crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Cliffdale Road near Lynhurst Drive.
All lanes on Cliffdale Road between Windemere Drive and Lansdowne Road have been closed and motorists are urged to use an alternate route until emergency crews can clear the area. Motorists should expect delays.
Eyewitnesses said they saw a motorcycle, but there wasn't one at the accident scene.
Officers are investigating the crash are looking into whether there was some sort of altercation before the crash.
Investigators will likely work through the night because of the complexity of the accident.
The names of the deceased are being withheld until officers are able to contact next of kin. Medlock said the victims appeared to be "young," perhaps in their late teens or early 20s.

Wisconsin man, 20, charged in fatal limo crash on I-90

Wednesday, June 29, 2016 07:27PM A 20-year-old Wisconsin man has been charged in the March limo crash which killed a women and injured others as they were on their way to the airport to depart for a Mexican vacation.
Aaron T. Nash, of Janesville, Wis., was charged with one count of violation of motor carrier safety law by a driver, a felony, according to the Illinois State Police.
On March 25, Nash was driving a limo on Interstate 90 in the north suburbs when he drove into a construction area, striking a barricade wall crash attenuator. After striking the wall, the limousine flipped over and landed on its roof.
Teri Schmidt, 53, of Wisconsin, died of injuries she sustained in the crash.
The Kane County State's Attorney approved the charges earlier this month and Nash turned himself in on Wednesday.
A judge set bail for Nash at $15,000. His next court date is July 27.
If convicted, Nash could face probation or between one and three years in prison, state police said.
