The owner of tree company in Rhode Island was killed while working on a machine in his yard, according to authorities.
Robert Burton, 36, of Scituate, owned "The Tree Guy" company.
Police said Burton was apparently hooking a wood processor to his Jeep when the machine fell on him and crushed him. The machine was not running at the time, according to authorities.
It happened on the Burton's property on Hill Road Saturday afternoon.
The chief said Burton is survived by his wife and two daughters, adding that he was a giving man and well-respected in the community.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses. "Rob was the nicest and most generous guy," according to a post on the GoFundMe page. "He was always positive and put his family first. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it. He was the guy in the room to bring out the best in any situation, put a smile on your face, and the life of the party. Rob was also deeply involved in both of his daughters' school activities and sports."
