1 killed, 3 injured when two vehicles collide head-on on Loop 224 in Nacogdoches, Texas

According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, a two-vehicle head on collision left one man dead and several injured Saturday morning. 

The fatal wreck occurred in the 4300 block of Southeast Stallings Drive. At 7:51 A.M., a vehicle was headed south when it collided with another vehicle traveling north on Loop 224.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children were also in the vehicle and were taken to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Their injuries are unknown at the time.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was severely injured and also taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Nacogdoches P.D. was assisted by the Nacogodoches Fire Department and the Department of Public Safety. Loop 224 was closed down in the area of the accident for two hours so NPD could clear the scene and begin their investigation.

The identities of names of those involved have not been released yet. They will be released after next of kin is notified.
