ERNST CONCRETE WORKER INJURED WHEN HE WAS PINNED AGAINST HIS TRUCK IN FRANKLIN TWP., OHIO

An Ernst Concrete worker pinned against his truck this morning did not suffer life-threatening injuries, Lt. Dustin Perry of the Franklin Twp. Division of Fire said tonight.

The worker, whose name, age and hometown were not released, was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton after he was injured around 9:30 a.m. while pouring a driveway in the 8500 block of Franklin Madison Road. He was the only employee at the job site at the time of the injury, Perry said.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration also responded to the scene and is investigating the workplace accident.

CareFlight and OSHA have responded to a workplace accident on Franklin Madison Road in Franklin Township Saturday morning.

Crews were responded to the 8500 block of Franklin Madison Road after a cement truck driver was pinned and injured while pouring a driveway around 9:30 a.m. according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the injured driver was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries. A condition of the victim was also not available.
Deputies add the victim was employed by Ernst Concrete, but a representative from the company was not available for comment.

OSHA has been requested to the scene to investigate according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Additional information was not available, and the accident remains under investigation.
