SILO FIRE INJURES TWO FIREFIGHTERS IN REEDSVILLE, WISCONSIN WHEN THE TOP OF THE SILO BLEW OFF, BURNING TWO OF THE FIREFIGHTERS

REEDSVILLE, WISCONSIN – Two firefighters received first and second degree burns after battling a silo fire in Reedsville, WI Friday morning.

The Brillion Fire Department said they were dispatched at 8:59 a.m. to an interior silo fire on a farm located at 5316 Oakwood Road.

After being on scene for about a half hour, the top of the silo blew off, burning two of the firefighters.

Fire crews had the fire under control around 1:00 p.m. and cleared the scene around 3:00 p.m.

The cost of damages as well as the cause of the fire are unknown.
