ARCANUM, Ohio (WDTN) – The victims of an icy crash Thursday morning in Arcanum are students who were making their way to school after a two hour delay.

Arcanum rescue crews were called to the 2800 block of Littles Road between Hollansburg Sampson Road and Hollansburg Arcanum Road around 7:30 a.m.

They arrived to find the pickup truck on its side, down an embankment and in a creek.

Investigators say the 18-year-old driver lost control on the ice.  Two other students were in the pickup, one is 11-years-old.

None of their injuries are life-threatening, but the 11-year-old was flown to Dayton Children’s Hospital onboard the Careflight helicopter.

The Arcanum-Butler School District reported the accident on its web site.  It says school administrators went to the hospitals where the students were taken to check on their conditions.

Police are investigating the crash to see if any other factors played a role.
