KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Northbound US-131 is back open after a semi-truck flipped over, blocking both lanes.

It happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday, near the I-94/US-131 interchange.

Portage Police say the 53-foot trailer overturned on the on-ramp, blocking both lanes of US-131.

Officers say the driver was not injured.

The trailer was hauling 40,000 pounds of rolled paper, which police say shifted in the container, and could have contributed to the crash.

The road was re-opened Tuesday afternoon, and police are still investigating.
