HAZ MAT CREWS
CALLED TO LEAKING CYLINDERS AT AIR PRODUCTS IN PENNSYLVANIA
Crews were called Friday morning to Air Products in
Upper Macungie Township for two leaking cylinders outside the building,
according to police radio reports.
Around 11:15 a.m., fire crews were called to the company
at 7201 Hamilton Blvd. for a fire on a loading dock. Crews arrived and found no
fire, but said there are two leaking cylinders.
Hazmat crews were called to help contain the leaks and
all the employees have been evacuated from the building, according to a Lehigh
County 911 dispatcher. No injuries have been reported.
Initial radio reports said the cylinders were carrying
carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
By 11:40 A.M., fire crews reported the leaking cylinders
had been shut down.
