A CITY FIRE VEHICLE AND A CAR HAVE COLLIDED IN HARTFORD, CT. THE FIRE TRUCK WAS RESPONDING TO A CALL WHEN
IT WAS REAR-ENDED BY THE CAR.
HARTFORD — A city fire truck and a car collided in the
South End Thursday morning.
The accident was minor, Lt. Raul Ortiz said; no injuries
were reported at the scene.
The crash happened before 11:30 a.m. in the area of New
Britain Avenue and Giddings Street, when the rescue truck was responding to a
call, Ortiz said.
It appears the fire truck was struck from behind, he
said.
