Fatal crash on I-95 at Philips Highway
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol reports a man from Orange Park was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Interstate 95 and Philips Highway. This is on the south end of town, near the Avenues Mall.
According to FHP, 33-year-old Joshua Andrew Dupree was killed as he was traveling northbound on I-95, attempting to exit Philips Highway.
His Chevy Tahoe missed the exit ramp curve and he traveled off the roadway, down an embankment, before overturning several times. He was thrown out of the car, according to FHP. The crash happened around 4:45 a.m.
