A Topeka man who climbed onto a roof to launch fireworks died from injuries he suffered after he fell early Tuesday. Christen Locke, 26, fell from the roof of his home at 2919 S.E. Colorado after he was injured by a firework just after midnight, Amy McCarter, Topeka Police spokeswoman, said.

A Topeka, Kansas man who climbed onto a roof to launch fireworks died from injuries he suffered after he fell early Tuesday.
Christen Locke, 26, fell from the roof of his home at 2919 S.E. Colorado after he was injured by a firework just after midnight, Amy McCarter, Topeka Police spokeswoman, said.
The call was originally reported as a fall, but an investigation revealed Locke was initially injured in a fireworks accident, police Lt. Jennifer Cross said.
Locke was transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening and later died.
