TEXAS DEPUTIES: MAN CHARGED WITH DWI AFTER FATAL CRASH IN W. HARRIS COUNTY
January 23, 2015
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A
woman was killed when her car was T-boned by a suspected drunken driver at an
intersection in west Harris County, deputies said early Friday.
The crash happened on
Saums at Greenhouse around 2:30 a.m.
According to the Harris
County Sheriff's Office, a Chevrolet pickup crashed into the woman's red Nissan
Altima at a high rate of speed. The woman died at the scene. Both people in the
truck were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Deputies said it appeared
the woman who died was the one who ran a red light, causing the crash, but the
driver of the pickup appeared to be intoxicated. The pickup's driver faces, at
the very least, a DWI charge.
The investigation is
still underway.
