SMOKE ALARMS SAVE COLORADO SPRINGS FAMILY FROM EARLY MORNING FIRE

Smoke alarms saved the lives of two adults and two dogs when
their home caught fire early Wednesday morning.
The fire was reported around 2:30 a.m. and heavy smoke was
visible when firefighters arrived, according to a tweet from the Colorado
Springs Fire Department.
Smoke alarms woke the residents and they safely exited the
house, according to Colorado Springs Fire Capt. Steve Oswald.
The cause of the fire, at 909 Bennett Lane, has not yet been
determined.
