HARRIS COUNTY -  TEXAS

Traffic is backed up on the I-10 East Freeway at Dell Dale after an 18-wheeler carrying tomatoes caught fire.

The driver was traveling eastbound on the freeway when the truck crashed and caught fire around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

No other vehicles appear to be involved, but many accidents are caused by over maneuvering the truck or sudden breaking to avoid collision or sudden change in lanes or shifting truck load.

Tomatoes spilled onto the highway, causing quite a mess, and crews were still working to clean the roadway during the morning rush-hour commute.
