January 21, 2015
HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Two people were taken to the
hospital following an accident in Holyoke involving two vehicles Wednesday
afternoon.
Our 22News crew could see an SUV and a mail truck being
taken away from the area of Suffolk Street and Linden Street on flatbed tow
trucks.
Holyoke Police Lt. David Fournier told 22News that two
people were brought to the hospital following the accident. He said that he did
not have exact word on their injuries, but they are not believed to be
extremely serious.
Fournier said that the call had originally come in as an
accident involving a pedestrian, but that turned out not to be the case. He
said that one of the drivers had gotten out of his vehicle following the
accident, leading to the misunderstanding.
