Officials say sometime around noon Monday, a southbound Norfolk Southern train from Danville was traveling through downtown Harrodsburg when one of the locomotive’s trucks derailed.
The train was carrying 25 cars with two locomotives and had a two person crew. Cars were disconnected from the locomotive and then it was re-railed and was able to continue on its journey after about an hour-and-a-half.
No injuries or damage was reported, though there were plenty of traffic delays in downtown Harrodsburg.
