THREE HUNTINGDON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA MEN DEAD AFTER ONE-VEHICLE WRECK SENDS TRUCK THROUGH ICE

WEST TOWNSHIP, Huntingdon County — After state police troopers were dispatched to the scene of a one-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon, it was discovered that three men were dead.

About 1:20 p.m., state police at Huntingdon were notified that a Ford F-150 truck was observed on its roof partially submerged in Blue Diamond Lake, just off Diamond Valley Road.

Police said a 58-year-old resident of Petersburg was extricated from the vehicle and transported to J.C. Blair Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

After further investigation, troopers determined that there were additional occupants of the vehicle, the police report stated.

Submersible video equipment was brought to the scene, and shortly thereafter two more victims were discovered a short distance from the vehicle under the ice. The two men, ages 69 and 33, were residents of Huntingdon, the report said. Identities were held pending notification of the next of kin.
