TRUCK WAS DRIVING WESTBOUND WHEN THE CAR CAME INTO ITS LANE. THE IMPACT CAUSED
THE TRUCK TO ROLL OVER.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A Tallahassee intersection was
closed for hours this morning following an accident between a propane truck and
a car.
Traffic going on to Capital Circle Southwest was
detoured for nearly 4 hours Monday morning.
"As I was coming home this morning, I came down
Springhill Road, and once I got to Capital Circle I saw that the road was
blocked off," one woman told WCTV. "But, I had to detour, go around,
it took me almost 20 minutes to make it back around here."
According to Leon County Sheriff's deputies, a car and a
propane truck struck each other around 8 a.m. Monday morning.
Deputies say the propane truck was driving Westbound
when the car came into its lane. The impact caused the truck to roll over.
Deputies say that no propane leaked out of the truck,
and the Tallahassee Fire Department Hazmat Unit was on scene.
The driver of the car had two of his children with him
at the time. He told deputies that he believes he fell asleep at the wheel
before the crash occurred.
Both drivers were treated at the scene for minor
injuries and released.
Traffic on Capital Circle reopened around 11:30 a.m.
after crews were able to safely two the propane truck away.
